Theatre students performing in My Fair Lady

At Young Harris College, we believe that creativity and critical thinking go hand-in-hand. Our Theatre Department adheres to a broad definition of theatre, embracing both the critical study of the stage as well as the creative talents and expressions of our students. Young Harris College faculty国产偷拍视频 share decades of real-world stage experience to help you build comprehensive theatre skills ranging from Scenic and Lighting Design and Stage Management to Choreography and Directing.

We offer two degrees : BA in Theatre Performance and BA in Theatre Theatrical Design and Production. All theatre majors take courses in acting, technical theatre, theatre history and dramatic literature. You’ll develop practical acting skills at a high artistic level, the ability to operate effectively as a theatre technician in a production setting, an appreciation of the history and literature of theatre and the ability to communicate about it thoughtfully.

Theatre Young Harris is a performing arts organization of Young Harris College. All production areas are staffed by students, including stage management, box office, lighting and sound control and scenery and costume construction. Each season, the theatre company presents a full lineup of notable productions, including full-length musicals, innovative dramas, classic plays, shows for young audiences and more. As a YHC theatre grad, you’ll gain the training and poise to advance successfully into life on stage—in front of or behind the curtain. Beyond performing, directing and writing, you could also build on your artistic background in graduate programs or careers. Alumni have gone on to work in:
