Young Harris College has a long tradition of providing a highly respected musical program of great distinction. Our student body is small and our student-teacher ratio is low, which means you receive personal attention, frequent encouragement, and extra assistance to hone your craft.  

Our faculty are musicians in their own right, so they can connect you to resources in the field and build your confidence onstage and off. As you become engaged in an immersive four-year curriculum, your professors take a professional and personal interest in your success. With talented professors as your mentors, you’ll explore music from all sides to better understand your gift, goals and role as a musician. Faculty share their love for music in many ways. You might accompany them to professional conferences, be a part of special performances or attend music competitions.

In your four years here, you’ll perform in recitals, solo in the College’s many choral and instrumental ensembles, and be featured in musical theatre productions.  Each season, Fine Arts offers a fresh lineup of campus and community events for you to shine in. Beyond the popular career paths of performing and teaching, a music degree opens your
